This chair made in ash with a walnut seat won Best In Show at the Association of Pole Lathe Turners annual craft competition 2007.
Comb backs
I make the slats in the back of these chairs out of inch wide cleft oak and then steam bend them to fit the curvature of the back. The legs are turned or left octagonal. It can be made with or without stretchers.
